Run entirely by volunteers, Alpine Attic Thrift Shop in Lomita is a faith-driven store that sells donated merchandise for a cause. All of the net proceeds from those sales go to Alpine Camp and Conference Center. The shop's work centers on benevolence, and every item on its shelves comes from community donations.
The money raised here pays for camp scholarships and funds maintenance projects at the camp, so each purchase supports both campers and the grounds they use. Large green letters and an evergreen tree emblem run across the store's long cream facade. Alpine Attic is open five days a week and stays open into the evening on at least one of those days.
