Established in 1936, Thriftique Showroom resells clothing, accessories, furniture, home decor and more, all donated by the local community. Every purchase helps fund Jewish Women in Action Cleveland's community programs for women, children and families. A section called The Tique carries upscale fashions and statement pieces for men and women, including shoes and handbags. New items come in daily, and volunteers sort them before they go out.
The Bedford Heights showroom opens Wednesdays through Fridays and adds pop-up Saturdays. Its dark front window has white chalk drawings of clothing and furniture under a hand-lettered welcome. Donations of clean, sellable goods go to the organization's warehouse instead of the store. Worn clothing, shoes and handbags should be labeled for recycling. Furniture pickup is free.
