Open Thursdays through Saturdays, this Warsaw ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store selling donated furniture, appliances, building materials and home goods. It accepts donations of both new and used items, and free pickups can be scheduled for large donations. Volunteers serve customers and organize the donations that come in.
Sales fund the work of the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. The affiliate builds safe, affordable homes alongside partner families, who put in sweat equity and complete financial education on the path to owning a home. It also runs a home repair program that covers critical repairs and accessibility improvements. On the sales floor, rows of sofas and armchairs fill the open space, and wooden chairs line a raised shelf along one wall.
