Bargains Thrift Shop is the resale store of Assistance League Tulsa, a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit and chartered member of National Assistance League. Proceeds from the shop help fund the league's community programs. The main one is Operation School Bell, which gives Tulsa-area students from Pre-K through 12th grade the essential items they need for school. The league also supports arts education awards for teachers, STEM education and literacy work.
The shop takes donations of clothing, household items and furniture. Its two-story white building has a bold red Bargains sign above a blue awning, with a separate donation entrance off to one side. Shoppers can come in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the only days the shop is open.
