DCCH Center for Children and Families runs this volunteer-led thrift shop, which is stocked entirely with donations. Every sale helps the children who live at DCCH, and the money buys them clothes, shoes, books and toys. The shop is in a white block building with a blue-and-white mission sign beside its front window and a bench out front.
Bags, boxes and bins of clean items go in the gray donation shed next to the front door, Monday through Saturday. Furniture donations are arranged ahead of time. The shop can't take mattresses, televisions, large appliances, pianos, computer monitors, VHS tapes, books or anything over 30 pounds. Half-off days fall on the first Thursday and third Saturday of each month. The shop is open Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
