Sales at Shirley's Deals Valley Station fund Shirley's Way, a Louisville 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been giving back to the community since 2014. The organization gives financial help to people fighting cancer and supports children's sports and other kids' programs. It also helps the houseless, seniors, veterans and local VFW posts. Through its Shirley's Little Angels program, it helps feed about 5,000 children at more than 30 schools every week.
The shop is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening on at least one day. Clothing fills the racks and dresses the mannequins in the front windows, under a lit sign with bright orange and blue letters next to a pair of purple handprints. Shirley's Way also holds a winter coat drive party with live music.
