Antiques, vintage pieces and work by local artisans fill Twin Sugar, an antique and resale shop in Florence, Kentucky. It grew out of a dream two friends shared years ago in a Kalamazoo, Michigan bowling alley. The shop sits in the front of Eddie's BBQ and Catering Service, sharing space with that business, and it makes a point of supporting local craftspeople and businesses.
Its stock includes restored antique furniture, vintage jewelry from many eras, and memorabilia from sports, music and film. Appraisals are offered for jewelry and other collectibles, and local delivery is available for a fee. Stacks of brightly colored dinnerware share the floor with weathered old road signs, including a stop sign. The doors are open six days a week, Sundays included.
