For more than 40 years, Millie's Thrift Store has been selling donated goods in Lafayette, Indiana, and all profits from those sales stay in the city. It is one of three Millie's locations in the area, and a large group of volunteers keeps it running. The store holds daily sales, and its loyalty program lets members earn points and get offers.
Through its Millie's Cares program, the store takes requests on behalf of people or families in need and works to provide them with clothing. It is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Green double doors mark the entrance, and a blue-and-white free library cabinet stands beside them.
