All proceeds from Fbc Thrift go to charity. The money supports the local and international charitable organizations that Goshen First Brethren, the church that runs the store, counts as its mission partners. Volunteers from the congregation staff the shop entirely, and prices stay low as a way of serving the Goshen community.
The store opens on Saturdays in a space beside the church building. A navy awning hangs over its door, and a sign on the tan brick wall names it in both English and Spanish, as a thrift store and a tienda de segunda mano. Besides selling from the shop in Goshen, Indiana, Fbc Thrift also runs its own eBay store, and those sales benefit the same mission partners.
