Treasure House carries clothing, entertainment items and small kitchen appliances, and every donated piece is hand-sorted for cleanliness and checked to make sure it works. The Fort Wayne store is a thrift ministry of The Rescue Mission, a faith-based nonprofit founded in 1903 that provides restorative care to men, women and children. Money from purchases pays for affordable goods, job training, rehabilitation and life-skill programs for people in need in the community.
The sales floor is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. The store's donation center takes donated goods from Wednesday through Saturday. A blue banner with a white cross runs across the front of the building, beneath a round gable window that frames a large white cross.
