Brighton Center runs Thrifting on Eastern, a community thrift store in Covington, Kentucky, as a social enterprise. All proceeds from sales go to the nonprofit's Family Support programs. The store sells clothing and household items. It fills a deep-red brick house with white trim and a covered front porch.
Donations of kitchenware, small appliances, toys, home decor, small furniture and fashion accessories are welcome. The store also takes in-season clothing, both new and secondhand. Drop-offs are accepted during regular business hours, so donating and shopping happen on the same schedule. The store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, with daytime hours on each of those days.
