Donations can be dropped off in person at Teen Challenge South Bay Thrift Store in San Jose. Every purchase supports people working toward freedom from life-controlling issues such as substance abuse and trauma. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
Teen Challenge NorWestCal Nevada runs the store. This nonprofit provides residential recovery for men, women, teens, children and families across Northern California and Nevada. Its centers include one for women, two for women with children, five for men, and separate programs for teen girls and teen boys ages 12 to 17. A family center lets families heal together, and a re-entry center helps men return to daily life. Outside, a large yellow triangle cuts across the white front under black lettering that reads Teen Challenge Thrift.
