Every sale at Animal Aid Thrift Store goes to Animal Aid of Tulsa. The nonprofit has rescued sick, injured and abused stray dogs and cats in the Tulsa area since 1961 and finds them homes. In November 2021 the store moved into a larger space with plenty of parking. It's open six days a week and closed Sundays.
All of the merchandise is donated. The shelves hold home goods and decor, collectibles, vintage and antique pieces, small furniture, clothing, books, music, movies and pet supplies. Donations of household items, electronics, clothing, small furniture, books and pet supplies are accepted on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at a gate on the west side of the building. In extreme heat or cold, the store may stop taking donations to keep staff safe.
