Handmade goods from Guatemala share the shelves with donated furniture, clothing, housewares, toys, seasonal décor and vintage pieces at Hearts In Motion Resale Shoppe in Schererville. The shop sells both donated and new clothing. It is run by Hearts in Motion, and sales fund the group's programs: furnishing homes for families leaving crisis, vouchers for women and children in shelters, support for seniors, homeless outreach, and job training for adults with disabilities in partnership with LARC.
Donations must be clean, complete, and free of pets and smoke. The shop takes them until an hour before closing, and pickups can be scheduled. It does not accept cribs, car seats, computers or large appliances. The store is open six days a week and closed Sundays. Its name is spelled out in large blue letters across white siding.
