Shoppers will find Oily Rag inside the Bikersinc building in Indianapolis, open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Cash is welcome for in-person purchases, and the shop also sells online. Small items and memberships ship internationally, while large or bulky pieces ship only within the United States. Most merchandise is sold as is.
The shop is part of Bikersinc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and its proceeds go straight back into the organization's programs. Bikersinc came up with the idea in 2017, partly to fund its work and partly to give veterans a place to sell their own goods without heavy markups. Shelves carry curated leather goods, safety awareness products, and veteran-made and support gear.
