Rows of dolls in lace dresses, bonnets and curls crowd the long tables of one room at St Mary's Thrift Shop in Michigan City, Indiana. The shop keeps a short week, opening its doors only on Wednesdays and Fridays. Shoppers and donors in Michigan City plan their visits around those two days, when the doll-lined room and the rest of the shop are open.
