An outreach ministry of Graceland Baptist Church, Grace Station Thrift Shoppe in New Albany sells used clothing and household goods. All proceeds go to local nonprofits that help families in Southern Indiana, including Scarlet Hope, Mercy's Edge Ministries, Southern Indiana Rescue Mission and the church's food pantry. Shoppers find clothing for the whole family, children's toys, purses, shoes, jewelry, furniture and a book nook. The name "Thrift Shoppe" runs in bold red letters across a cream panel above the entrance.
The shop is open Wednesday through Saturday, and donations come in during those hours. After hours, smaller items and bagged clothing can go in the drop box behind the building. Donors receive receipts. Mattresses, major appliances, cribs and computers are not accepted. New stock goes out daily.
