In Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Junkology Thrift Store & Goodies sells secondhand goods from a single storefront under its own sign. The building is painted a vivid yellow, with a rust-red corrugated metal awning trimmed in turquoise that shades the walk out front. Hand-painted lettering across the shop window calls out rocks, records, coins, amps, music gear, jewelry, art glass and pottery. Junkology opens six days a week and stays closed on Sundays.
