CRC Encinitas Resale Store raises money for the Community Resource Center's work with people in the community facing domestic violence, hunger and homelessness. The shop also provides clothing and furniture to people in CRC's programs. It gives local students and adults in workability and transition programs a place to learn job skills.
Every item for sale was donated by someone from the community. The store takes donations Wednesday through Saturday and keeps a list of items it cannot accept. Big yellow letters reading "Resale Store" run above the front windows, and inside, racks of clothing share the floor with lamps and home decor. The store is open seven days a week. It runs weekly discount days and gives students, seniors and military shoppers a daily discount.
