START Animal Rescue runs this Los Angeles resale shop. Its end-of-month proceeds go directly to the group's work saving abandoned and neglected shelter animals across California. The stock includes antiques, vintage pieces and jewelry, along with high-end labels such as Chanel, Christian Dior and Prada.
Donations of items people no longer use are welcome at the store, which is open five days a week. Start Rescue Resale also runs an online store on eBay, where every item is inspected before sale and new pieces are added weekly. Out front, a teal awning carries the store's white logo, and racks of jeans line the sidewalk under the name.
