The Arc Thrift Store in Palm Springs, Florida, is run by The Arc of Palm Beach County. This not-for-profit organization works with people who have developmental disabilities, from infancy through adulthood, and also supports their families. Its programs include a charter school, respite care, camp, early intervention, residential homes, adult day training and employment services.
Every year the organization serves more than 2,500 families. It also accepts donated cars through a separate donation program. The store sits in a low pale gray building with a rounded white awning over the front doors, and "Thrift Store" is printed on the awning in blue. The doors point shoppers to an entrance on the side. The store is open five days a week.
