South Bend is home to Kingdom Closet, a nonprofit thrift shop devoted to clothing. Its racks carry apparel for men, women and children. The shop keeps weekday hours and stays closed on weekends.
The store accepts donated clothing for men, women and kids, as well as purses, bags, wallets and jewelry. Shoes and bags must be brand new and never worn. Household goods, worn-out items and baby clothes are not accepted. Donations are currently paused because the store has reached full capacity. Every gift helps the shop serve people in need with dignity and care. The storefront has white metal siding over a brick base, under a dark overhang.
