A volunteer-driven thrift operation, Millie's Thrift Store has served Lafayette, Indiana, for more than 40 years and runs three locations in the Greater Lafayette area. All profits from the sale of donated goods stay in Lafayette, and a large group of dedicated volunteers keeps the stores running.
Through its Millie's Cares program, the store accepts referrals for people and families in need and works to provide them with clothing. Daily sales run in store, and a loyalty program earns points on purchases and sends offers and updates. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. This location is a white-sided building on a red brick base, with a blue-and-white sign over the door that carries the motto "Your Treasures Helping Others."
