The Thrift Chicks is a for-profit secondhand shop in Canton, Ohio. A local resident opened it with friends after retiring from a corporate career, and she now runs it on her own. The goal from the start was to give back to the community with a high-quality secondhand store. A small law practice run by the same owner works out of the back of the building.
The stock mixes upscale finds with everyday pieces: dresses, blouses, sweaters, athleisure, purses, boots and shoes, jewelry, outerwear, furniture, home decor, DVDs and vinyl. Gray walls are hung floor to ceiling with framed art. Smooth jazz plays inside, and every purchase is called an adoption. The doors open Thursday through Saturday only.
