Part home improvement store, part home goods store and part resale shop, this Elizabethtown ReStore is run by Habitat for Humanity of Hardin County. Its sales help low-income families who have qualified for a Habitat house. Those homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and buy them on a zero-interest, 25-year mortgage.
The stock is a mix of new and used building materials, appliances and furniture, and it changes daily. Vinyl plank flooring, including stone polymer core, is a particular focus. Donations follow set guidelines, and pickups can be scheduled. Volunteers also work at the store, which is open five days a week and closed Sundays and Mondays. Bright blue ReStore lettering runs across its dark gray ribbed front, with a green house shape in place of the "o."
