This charity thrift shop in Anthony, New Mexico, is run by La Casa, Inc., and all of its proceeds fund programs for survivors of domestic violence. Donated goods go first to La Casa clients in Las Cruces, Deming and Anthony. Items the clients don't need are sold in the thrift stores, and anything left over goes to partner nonprofits and community groups. The store is open on weekdays and closed on weekends.
Donations accepted include housewares, furniture, men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes and accessories, baby and toddler items, electronics, toys, books and unopened hygiene products. Furniture has to be in good condition. Broken items, used mattresses, car seats, cribs, box TVs, weapons and sharp knives are not accepted. La Casa also sells thrift items through an online eBay shop.
