Donations left at the West Albuquerque Savers are accepted on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico, and the store pays that nonprofit for them. The store is run by TVI, Inc., a for-profit company, so donating supports the nonprofit but shopping does not. It sells family clothing, dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Accepted donations include bags, bed and bath goods, sporting goods, toys, small appliances and small furniture.
Anyone who drops off clothing or household items gets a discount on their next purchase. Every Tuesday, shoppers 55 and older get a senior discount. Super Savers Club members get members-only sales. The store is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening. Red lettering spells out its name across an arched tan front.
