A social enterprise of Beit T'Shuvah, a long-term Jewish treatment center, BTS Thrift Store puts 100% of its proceeds toward supporting people on their journey to recovery. The shop was founded in 2001 as a way for the center's residents to continue their recovery through work therapy. It later left its original home for its current Los Angeles location.
Fashion, furniture, and art and home decor make up the stock. New shipments arrive often and have included estate pieces, vintage and mid-century furniture, mirrors, lamps, sculptures and oil paintings. Donors can schedule a pick-up so the store collects items from them. The doors are open seven days a week, and the shop sits in a hot-pink building under a white sign advertising furniture, art and clothing.
