Closed on Sundays and open the other six days of the week, Franciscan Center Family Thrift raises money for The Franciscan Center, a faith-driven charity serving individuals and families in need across Fort Wayne. Every purchase at the store gives back to that work, which includes outreach programs, food drives, food assistance, ministries and community events.
The Franciscan Center has worked since 1989 to give hope, support and resources to people in need. Volunteers guide its work and donations fund it. Besides the thrift store, the organization runs online fundraising auctions of featured items, and the money raised goes straight to its community outreach and assistance programs. Local businesses, churches, schools and community groups also partner with the center to support its mission.
